By booking an appointment, requesting information, or receiving any service from AMORH, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully: they are written to make clear what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.

1. Who we are and where we operate

AMORH (Apoyo Multidisciplinario de Orientación a la Realización Humana) is a cohesive clinical team of psychologists and psychotherapists based in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. AMORH is the trade name under which Silverio De La Mora Barajas, an individual engaged in professional activity, provides the services and issues the corresponding invoicing. We operate under the provisions of the General Health Law, NOM-004-SSA3-2012 on clinical records, and the Code of Ethics for Psychologists (Mexican Psychological Society).

2. Age requirement (18+)

AMORH provides services exclusively to adults aged 18 or older, in accordance with Article 646 of the Federal Civil Code and its equivalent in the Civil Code of the State of Baja California.

By booking or requesting an appointment, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If AMORH determines that a person is a minor, it may decline to provide the service and/or request verification before continuing.

3. Nature of the service

AMORH offers individual psychotherapy for adults under a proprietary clinical model, the AMORH Psychotherapeutic Treatment Model (MTPA), with a process structured in three phases: initial assessment, a therapeutic plan with observable goals, and ongoing follow-up.

What is outside our scope

Because of our outpatient model, some situations require a different level of care than we provide and fall outside our scope:

  • Situations of active violence
  • Problematic alcohol or drug use
  • Schizophrenia
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Borderline personality disorder (BPD)
  • Other situations requiring a more intensive level of care or continuous supervision that an outpatient process does not cover

If your situation matches any of these cases, we will gladly guide you toward the appropriate resources or professionals.

4. Initial assessment — free, you decide

The initial assessment is a 30-minute clinical conversation, by phone, always free of charge. It is a permanent AMORH policy, not a temporary promotion.

Its purpose is to understand your situation, agree on an initial goal, and propose next steps. At the end, you decide whether to continue: the initial assessment creates no obligation to begin or continue a process.

The initial assessment does not include the administration of psychometric tests. If at any point an assessment instrument is considered useful, it will be discussed with you and defined on an informed basis.

5. Service modality

  • Primary: video call via Google Meet (Google Workspace), available to people located anywhere in Mexico with a stable connection
  • Secondary: in person in Tijuana, available on a limited basis subject to availability; evaluated during the initial assessment

AMORH provides services exclusively to people physically located within Mexican territory. We do not provide care, whether by video call or in person, to people located outside Mexico. AMORH practices under Mexican regulation and is not licensed to provide services in other countries. The modality is confirmed when booking or during prior coordination.

By using Google Meet, you acknowledge that this platform is operated by Google LLC and may apply its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

6. Cancellations and rescheduling

We understand that unexpected things happen. So that the service works well for everyone, we apply the following policy, in line with the good-faith principles of the Federal Civil Code:

  • Cancellation 24 hours or more in advance: no charge. You may reschedule freely.
  • Cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice, or a no-show without notice: the full session is charged. If you let us know, even if late, you may reschedule within the same week at no additional cost.
  • Late arrival: the session may be shortened to respect the rest of the day’s schedule. It does not entitle you to a discount or to make up the time.

If AMORH cancels an already-scheduled session, the payment made for that session is refunded in full. If you prefer, you may also choose to reschedule it at no cost.

7. Payments and billing

Prices

  • Video call: $55–$75 USD / $1,100–$1,500 MXN per session
  • In person in Tijuana: $70–$90 USD / $1,400–$1,800 MXN per session
  • The higher prices apply to couples therapy and sessions in English
  • The exact price is confirmed during the initial assessment

Payment methods

  • Stripe (credit or debit card)
  • Bank transfer

AMORH may request payment confirmation depending on the type of appointment or scheduling modality.

Receipts

AMORH issues tax invoices (CFDI) or payment receipts as appropriate for each case. If you need an invoice, please indicate so at the time of payment.

Treatment Prioritization Program (PPT)

AMORH offers two contracting options:

  • Individual sessions: paid separately, with no obligation to continue.
  • Treatment Prioritization Program (PPT): a prepaid option that includes a defined number of sessions. By paying in advance, you receive a discount of up to $175 USD. The specific terms (number of sessions, validity period, applicable discount, and conditions of use) are provided before contracting.

The details of the PPT are confirmed at the time of contracting.

Refunds

No refunds are issued for sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice or for no-shows without notice, in accordance with the cancellation policy described in section 6.

If AMORH cancels an already-paid session, the corresponding amount is refunded in full or, if the person prefers, the session is rescheduled at no cost.

8. Between-session psychotherapeutic chat

Treatment at AMORH includes access to unlimited psychotherapeutic chat with your psychologist between sessions, at no additional cost, through Google Chat (Google Workspace). This support is part of the MTPA and of the clinical process; it is not an emergency messaging service and does not replace sessions.

  • The official channel is Google Chat; your psychologist will tell you how to access it at the start of the process
  • Response times may vary according to availability outside session hours
  • The chat content is part of the clinical record and is handled with the same confidentiality as sessions

By using Google Chat, you acknowledge that this platform is operated by Google LLC and may apply its own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

9. Communications

By booking or receiving the service, you authorize AMORH to contact you by email, WhatsApp, SMS, or phone call for operational purposes: confirmations, reminders, coordination, and administrative follow-up.

All AMORH phone calls, both inbound and outbound, are recorded for quality and backup purposes. By contacting us by phone, you acknowledge and accept this practice.

10. Confidentiality and its limits

Everything you share in the context of the service is treated with strict confidentiality, in accordance with NOM-004-SSA3-2012, Article 51 Bis 2 of the General Health Law, and the Code of Ethics for Psychologists (Mexican Psychological Society). Only members of the clinical team directly involved in your care have access to that information.

As part of the MTPA, cases may be discussed among the clinical team anonymously, without any identifying data, for purposes of clinical quality and bias reduction; this review does not expose your identity.

There are limits to confidentiality in the following cases:

  • Serious, imminent, and verifiable risk of harm to yourself or to others
  • A request from a competent authority in accordance with applicable law

In any of these cases, AMORH will always seek the most careful handling possible and, when feasible, will inform you before proceeding.

11. Session recordings

Therapy sessions, whether by video call or in person, are not routinely recorded. If a recording were to be considered in a specific case, we will notify you in advance and request your express consent before proceeding, stating the purpose, the method of safekeeping, and the retention period.

12. Clinical judgment and scope of the process

AMORH may pause, end, or decline to begin a therapeutic process when there are clinical or safety reasons, a conflict of interest, or an absence of the minimum conditions for adequate support. This decision is made with professional judgment and based on the well-being of the person being cared for.

When possible, guidance on appropriate alternatives or referrals will be offered.

13. Intellectual property

The clinical model, materials, resources, and content developed by AMORH are its own authorship and property. They may not be reproduced, shared, or distributed without AMORH’s express authorization.

14. Privacy

By booking or receiving the service, you confirm that you have read and accepted AMORH’s Privacy Notice, which details how we handle your personal information.

15. Updates to these terms

AMORH may update these Terms and Conditions when necessary. The current version will always be available on this same page. Continued use of the service implies acceptance of the terms in force.

AMORH is not an emergency service

AMORH does not provide emergency care or immediate crisis intervention. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact emergency services right away:
