Privacy Notice

At AMORH, we believe you deserve to clearly understand what we do with your information, no matter who you are. This document has been prepared in accordance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and NOM-004-SSA3-2012 on clinical records, which are the regulations that apply to our practice in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.

1. Who is responsible for processing your data

The party responsible for processing your personal data is Silverio De La Mora Barajas, an individual providing professional services under the trade name AMORH (Apoyo Multidisciplinario de Orientación a la Realización Humana).

2. Who this is for

AMORH provides services exclusively to adults aged 18 or older. If a minor attempts to book or request care, AMORH may decline to provide the service and/or request confirmation of legal age before continuing.

  • City or country of residence

Scheduling and operations

  • Time availability
  • Appointment history: confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling
  • Service-related communications

Clinical information

  • Reason for consultation and therapeutic goals
  • Background relevant to the process
  • Follow-up notes when applicable

This information is protected by the duty of confidentiality established in the General Health Law and NOM-004-SSA3-2012. Only members of the clinical team directly involved in your care have access to it. Your psychologist is responsible for maintaining that confidentiality.

Clinical case review within the team

As part of the AMORH Psychotherapeutic Treatment Model (MTPA), cases may be discussed among the clinical team anonymously, without any identifying data, for purposes of clinical quality and bias reduction. Access to your identifiable information is limited to those directly involved in your care; team case discussions take place without exposing your identity.

AMORH does not store complete bank card information. Card payments are processed exclusively through Stripe.

4. Sensitive data

To provide you with therapeutic care, AMORH processes information related to your physical, psychological, or emotional health. This type of data receives special protection under the LFPDPPP: it is processed only with your express consent and under enhanced security measures. When it is necessary to obtain that consent explicitly, we will let you know.

5. How we obtain your information

AMORH may receive your data through:

  • Website forms
  • Acuity Scheduling (booking integrated at /contacto)
  • WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Phone calls and SMS
  • Email
  • During the initial assessment and sessions, where applicable

6. How we use your information

Uses necessary to provide the service

  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments
  • Conduct the initial assessment (a brief, free clinical conversation, available on an ongoing basis) to understand your situation, agree on an initial goal, and propose next steps
  • Provide therapeutic services and follow-up
  • Send you operational communications: reminders, logistics, coordination
  • Manage charges, billing, and receipts
  • Respond to requests from competent authorities when required by law

Optional uses

With your authorization, AMORH may use your information to:

  • Occasionally send you educational content, news, or resources through our mailing list
  • Invite you to take part in surveys to improve our services
  • Analyze website usage and measure the performance of communication campaigns

About consent: by scheduling your initial assessment on your own, you authorize us to contact you for these purposes. If at any point you prefer not to receive these communications — whether you’ve changed your mind or simply are no longer interested — email us at amorh@amorh.org and we’ll take care of it right away, no questions asked.

7. Providers and transfers

AMORH relies on third-party providers to operate. They may process data on our behalf or under their own terms when you interact directly with their platforms:

By using Google Meet for video calls or Google Chat for between-session support, you acknowledge that these platforms are operated by Google LLC and may apply their own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Some of these providers operate outside Mexico, which may involve international data transfers. AMORH strives to share only strictly necessary information and to maintain reasonable confidentiality agreements with each provider.

8. Recordings

Phone calls: all AMORH calls, both inbound and outbound, are recorded for quality, security, and operational backup purposes. By contacting us by phone, you acknowledge and accept this practice.

Therapy sessions: video and in-person sessions are not routinely recorded. If a recording were to be considered in a specific case, we will notify you in advance and request your express consent before proceeding.

10. How long we keep your information

AMORH retains data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of this notice. Clinical information is kept for a minimum of five years, in accordance with NOM-004-SSA3-2012.

When information is no longer necessary, we apply deletion or blocking measures in accordance with our internal policies and the LFPDPPP.

11. Security

AMORH implements administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your data against loss, alteration, destruction, or unauthorized access. No system is completely foolproof, which is why we continuously review and update our security measures.

12. Your rights over your data

As the data subject — regardless of your gender, origin, or status — you have the right to access, rectify, cancel, or object to the processing of your personal information (ARCO rights), as well as to revoke your consent or limit its use at any time.

How to exercise them

Send an email to amorh@amorh.org with:

  • Your full name and a means of contact so we can respond
  • The specific request: which right you wish to exercise and with respect to what information
  • A reference to help us locate your data (approximate date of contact or appointment)

We may request additional information to confirm your identity. We will respond within a maximum of 20 business days, in accordance with the LFPDPPP.

13. Changes to this notice

AMORH may update this notice when necessary. The current version will always be available on this same page.
